We love our neighborhood and lot. But our home was old, uncomfortable and the energy bills were going up. After a very intensive analysis, Solluna Builders determined that fixing the house would be more expensive than tearing it down and building a new high-performance property. Energy efficiency in our new home was a top priority for my husband and I. Solluna Builders were extremely knowledgeable and built a highly energy efficient house with safe, green building materials.

They made the process easier – their expertise spanned beyond the “normal loan channels.” I was also laid off from my job during the construction process and they were able to restructure the permanent loan so we would qualify-it was truly a gift to have such an exceptional team‘s support. I closed on the loan with a very competitive interest rate!

We were also having a hard time justifying the “extra” costs associated with a high-performance project, even though we were motivated to save energy. The GEM and SNMC team helped us to quantify the higher upgrade costs by providing an analysis on the investment. We found we could create a better investment and diversify our assets-I‘m able to fully retire now – to improve our portfolio and retirement plan.
